Every long-term goal should be broken into short term achievements.
For example if you have sugar addiction and you want to overcome it, just having it as a long-term goal is not enough. The feeling is good, the goal is good, we don't need sugar in our body and we can stay off this addiction. It is a good long term goal but just having the goal is not good enough.
Break it down to a daily achievement that today you're going to be completely off sugar for 24 hours.
Not only that, find a person who you can report to sincerely and you know that it has to be done on a daily basis. Make that a 7-Day plan that you are not going to take anything sweet.
After a week, add more people in this experiment of yours, perhaps you can inspire others to do the same.
And this is can be true for making or breaking any habit.
The basic point is to have a goal and then a plan to execute it.
Including people, friends or family in this becomes an important factor. The power of sangat.
Consistency and focus can bring about any results you want.
